Spring is finally here! Although I am a big fan of the holidays, and the powder-soft manageable snow, I love the fresh air and flowery scents that spring brings upon its arrival. The pandemic has hit the one-year anniversary and though we do know more now than we did a year ago, the world is not “out of the woods yet!” We are closer; however, with the vast number of vaccinations that are being administered at the vaccination clinics around the city. Whatever your view is on the vaccines and/or the process, decide what is best for you and contact your doctor(s) if you are unsure. If you are struggling to register due to technology, please contact us for assistance! If you are finding it difficult to maintain a safe amount of PPE equipment, let us know, we have supplies on hand, or resources to connect you.
The world needs to maintain an inclusive and uniformed front. At SIL, we are working hard each day to help those with disabilities keep active in their homes and communities, whether that is in-person or virtually. We are also hosting as many community and professional education sessions as we possibly can to keep everyone abreast of important information that impacts the disability community. I urge you to check out the rest of this newsletter and our website for all the virtual classes and education session we have scheduled. Have an idea for a topic? We would love to hear from you!
These days it is all about feeling connected, and SIL wants to be your #1 connection to all things disability and inclusion related.
Remember, we are a phone call away and WE ARE IN IT WITH YOU!
