SIL Presents Three Professional Development Workshops in March!

Are you interested in building your professional skills and gaining a better understanding of working with individuals with disabilities?

Sign up for one or all three of our Professional Workshops that will focus on three important topics:

Disability Awareness, Social Security Benefits, and Service Animals

The sessions will be held the following days:


 Friday March 19th from 9:00am-11:00am

This workshop provides an overview on how professionals can learn to effectively work with, communicate, and interact with persons with disabilities in the workplace. Laura Gold and Katherine Foley will lead the workshop.

“SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY: Before, During, & After Benefits are Rewarded”

Friday March 29th from 9:0am-11:30am

This workshop will offer valuable insight to professionals about how to apply for benefits and how SSDI, SSI, Medicare and Medicaid are affected by working incomes and work incentives. Michael A. Liner, Esq. and Andrew S. November, Esq., of Liner Legal will lead the workshop.


Friday March 29th from 1:00pm-3:00pm

This workshop will provide professionals with an overview of federal and state legislation and how they relate to service animals, emotional support animals, and other assistance animals. It will also of the professionals insight about how to interact with individuals who use service animals. Laura A. Gold and Lisa Marn M. Ed., will lead the workshop.
