Disability Awareness & Tips on How to Establish Inclusive Nonprofit Boards, Committees & Coalitions

SIL invites you to attend the presentation: “Disability Awareness & Tips on How to Establish Inclusive Nonprofit Boards, Committees & Coalitions” on Monday December 21, 2020, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

DESCRIPTION: As part of SIL’s Leadership Academy, an eight-week course designed to provide individuals with disabilities gain the skills and tools needed to serve on nonprofit boards, committees, coalitions or task forces in a meaningful way, SIL is pleased to offer a new community education component. This presentation is designed to educate local boards, municipalities and/or community organizations on disability awareness, on communicating and interacting with people with disabilities, and on providing accommodations at meetings.

SPEAKER: Laura A. Gold, J.D., Community Services Specialist, Services for Independent Living

WHERE: On the Zoom Platform. A link will be emailed on Friday, December 18, 2020.

HOW TO REGISTER: Please RSVP by 9 am Friday December 18, 2020 to Laura Gold by email (lgold@sil-oh.org). If you require accommodations, please let Laura know by Wednesday December 14, 2020.
